Sonny's Cowboy
1984 - 2007

Cowboy was euthanized August 7 after the Cancer he had previously had surgery for had come back. Cowboy was part of the family here at Burchett Equine Center and will be deeply missed. Cowboy had a lucrative show career as a Bronze Medallion Winner and Reserve National Champion. His get have won numerous World and National titles, along with year end awards in youth, amateur and open competition. Cowboy was a people horse – he always nickered to greet me when I came in the barn. Of course maybe that was Because he knew I always had a treat for him! The heart remembers most what it has loved best.

Burchett Equine Center is home to some of the finest stallions in the country, offering an outstanding selection of quality Quarter Horse Stallions, Paint Stallions, Palomino Stallions, and Appaloosa Stallions for your breeding consideration. We are a full service breeding facility offering stallion collection, freezing, foaling, shipping and mare insemination. We also do embryo transfer services. We accept outside horses and mares bred to other stallions. The farm was designed with the mare and baby in mind. The farm consists of 5 barns including our breeding barn, show barn, mare motels, and foaling barn, along with 17 pastures with lanes to insure BEC is one of the safest breeding facilities. We also offer boarding for lay ups and retired equines.
